Tae ling's soldiers began their work, moving in small groups; predominately berzerkers with a smattering of other troops but a larger proportion of archers; they moved through the streets, seraching for Zhuge Hong's men. tae ling was surrounded by his 400 cavalry; very tough troops, he had no doubt they would be able to countercharge any attack from his former leader. Nai Zhen led a group of around 500 men, berzerkers, archers, light swordsmen and even a few halberdiers. This was the primary assault force, but right now this was not a matter of fighting, but one of scouting. zhuge hong was likely to have his entired army with him, so they would fall back on contact with the enemy.

On the contrary to Tae Ling's ideas, Zhuge Hong was not running around with all of his troops surrounding him. He wasn't too thrilled with the idea of this turning into a straight fight, as he and the insurgents had approximately the same forces.
Zhuge Hong's men were in groups of 400, split between swordsmen and axemen, and they were confident that these groups could take any one of the betrayer's.

tae ling's men began to rove throughout the city; the groups of soldiers paring up to attack. Whenever they met a group of enemies they flanked them and charged from both sides to gain the advantages of numbers and surrounding.

Zhuge Hong's soldiers, when engaged, fell back in an orderly procession before they could be flanked; or even attacked by the enemy. Clearly they were up to something.

frustrated with their attempts to engage the enemy soldiers the groups fell back onto each other, merging each group so they were all fairly large. the entire procession began moving through the streets in one large mass; street to street to take the enemy head on.
