tae ling slowly rode forward from where he was stationed. as he moved a messenger came with orders from Zhuge Hong, Tae quickly relayed the orders to the men closest to the catapult then went to meet Alain.
"We shall see guts today. they'll be yours, spilt on the floor," Tae drew his sabre, it shone with deadly keeness. "bring it on,"
the troops quickly did what tae had told them. They filtered rags into the ends of the explosive barrels, lit the rags, then fired all of the five barrels at the group fighting around the front gate.

The five explosive barrels detonated in earth-shattering fashion, and as they exploded, so to did the other five remaining on the ground. The enormous explosion all but wiped out the troops fighting in front of the gate, as well as those of Xai Tay who were readying their assault. Not only this, but the east wall itself slowly toppled, a huge chunk if the central section collapsing outwards and laying the city bare for the attacking army...
(I shall do losses soon)

Ling Feng smiled evilly as the ram was brought onto the ramp. "Push!" he yelled and the ram was shoved forward, building momentum as it was set to crash into Li Damu's shieldwall, hopefully comprimising its intergrity.

(You magnificent bastards ) Li Damu's swordsmen quickly braced themselves against the oncoming ram. They may have been surrounded by Ling Feng's men, but this meant some of the ram's momentum would be drained by the impact against his troops. Ling Feng was worryingly careless about his men's lives, why did they like him so much? Xai Tay picked himself up off the ground with a groan. All around were burned and dead men, and only ten of Xai's soldiers had survived the massive blast. The east was open to the enemy, even if they did have to move through the streets to get to the palace. This wasn't good at all, but the blessing was that Zhuge Hong's men were out of it... for now. Xai Tay picked his way through the remains and found who he was looking for. Kashou Lin, who he had thought a coward, had turned out to be a true hero. "Take Kashou away from here," Xai murmured to his ten men. "Take his weapon, take his body, and bury them somewhere pleasant... Lao Shu, yes, take him to Lao Shu and get Li Damu to give him an honourable ceremony. Xai slowly began walking away from the city. Zhuge Hong was still alive, and that meant there was some unfinished business here... (Xai Tay loses ten light swordsmen)

Both groups of Alain's soldiers continued to fight, they seemed to be gaining the upper hand. Tae Ling's men were being pushed back, and so were Ling Feng's. This battle was far from over.

(Thank you ) Zhuge Lao's forces battled against those attacking them from behind, though there was not much give in either force. Zhuge Hong saw Xai Tay walking towards him, and he smiled grimly as he headed for the commander of the enemy forces. Overhead, it started to rain...

Zhuge Hong drew his blade and watched as the blood was gradually washed off of it. "Or, Xai Tay, greet your own," ZHuge Hong slowly walked to meet him.

(Alain and Tae Ling may fire alternate shots on the catapult, representing the struggle to gain control of it. Alain gets first shot)

Alain ordered the catapult to be fired along the length of the south wall. His aim was to scrape it completely clear of troops, which the large boldour would easily accomplish.

(YOU FOOL!!! MWAHAHAHAHA!!!)
The rock sailed along the south wall. As Alain had predicted, it scraped the wall completely clean of troops; and officers. Now only Xai Tay was left of the defending forces...
