Proposed battles should be Pm'ed to me, if I okay them, I will make the thread here.
The thread will go up on monday, wednesday Pm the forces you will use to me, this will be finalised on thursday (the only changes you can make are withdrawels!) The battle will start on the Friday, and go on until all troops are dead, all generals are dead, a side surrenders, runs away etc. As before, I or a moderator in my stead as the final say on battle results and casulties, you don't like it? Tough.

Okay, no autohitting, no posting that you killed troops, no saying and "my guys killed all of them" which is just plain stupid no arguing, take to PM if necessary Even if you think the result of a move is unfair, keep it to yourself or PM me if your greivance is that bad. Please don't be unreasonable, 100 militia WILL lose to 10 swordmasters, period. (strengths, swordsmasters are 22.5X stronger than militia)

Okay, if the person attacked doesn't post a counter to your attack within a day you are allowed to say your attack got them.
Duelling Same as any battle rules If the opponent does not post within twenty four hours of a move then you are declared the winner (you may NOT say you killed them!) The defeated general immediately leaves the battle, no exceptions. You should not force another officer to duel. Factors such as skill, strength, and weapon level, as well as posting, come into account when tallying up results (for long duels)
Troop strengths, to give you an idea of weaknesses, strengths, etc.
150 level 1 troops = 100 level 2 troops 200 level 2 troops = 100 level 3 troops 250 level 3 troops = 100 level 4 troops 300 level 4 troops = 100 level 5 troops
300 level 4 = 100 level 5 750 level 3 = 100 level 5 1500 level 2 = 100 level 5 2250 level 1 = 100 level 5
(any other comparisons feel free to ask me.
Swords (militia, etc) +Against spear, and against bow at close range -Mounted, and against bow at distance
Spear + against Mounted -Bow, Sword
Mounted + Swords, and light or fleeing formations - spear, bow
Bow + spear, mounted (at distance - Sword
Hopefully now you have an idea of the comparative strengths of the troops.

More battle stuff. It is I, the almighty admin, who controls who lives and dies (note, this is only for when there is ABSOLUTELY NO CHANCE of survival, if there is even a slight chance, they''ll probably live) You can say your own character/NPC died.
Duels (again) You are perfectly entitled to keep the weapon/body of a dead enemy. Both parties will be rewarded (in stats) DO NOT add these rewards to your profile, instead, wait until the end of the battle where they will be added to the total rewards.

Thinking; "But they all have so many troops! How am I supposed to make a mark on the action?"
Fear not! It is not only the troop numbers which factor in the battle results. Clever tactics and strategies play a part. A cunning ambush would see you in far better stead than in a straight fight. Using troop types to your advantage. Taking the high ground or using shieldwalls.
All of these factor in the winner of a fight.
The aforementioned militia, the 100 of them losing against 10, whilst sounding silly, would happen due to troop strengths.
But if you find a way to make up the deficit could kill the swordmasters with mere militia, which would certainly be a feather in your figurative cap!
